Brazil, the host of the current FIFA World Cup, was one of the main topics during the 7th Chemical Symposium, which took place on June 5th, at the “Marquis Reforma Hotel” in Mexico City.
Alex Geng, Managing Director of Leschaco Ltda., was one of the international speakers who offered a presentation to more than 250 guests about the logistics and infrastructure in one of the most important economies in Latin America.
Global topics are becoming more and more important in the agenda of the Symposium. For the second time, Oliver Oestreich, Board Member of the Leschaco Group, was among the speakers, analyzing global trends in the chemical industry and its impact on the supply chain.
The future of “Double Chassis” transportation in Mexico, railway logistics in the “NAFTA Zone”, as well as the reform of the Mexican Customs Law, completed the agenda. High level guest speakers and panelists representing associations, clients, shipping companies, customs agents and trucking companies, encouraged the panel discussions.
At the end of the event, a little “Leschaco raffle” offered football jerseys, “Brazuca” balls and some typical Brazilian instruments.
During the traditional cocktail, our guests enjoyed Brazilian live music, snacks, drinks and small talks in a pleasant atmosphere.
The participants evaluation, was very positive, 85% of the attendees ranked the event between excellent and very good, which motivates us to continue organizing this kind of event. For the next year it is required to continue presenting international topics; China and Germany figure among the most interesting countries.
Liquid Bulk, Maritime Less Container Load Transportation and Carbon Footprint in transportation, shall be part of the 2015 agenda.
