Leschaco India achieves GDP (Good Distribution Practice) & GTP (Good Trading Practice) Certification

Leschaco India has been successfully certified according to GDP (Good Distribution Practice) and GTP (Good Trading Practice) according to WHO guidelines.


Maintaining product safety and quality during transport is of utmost importance for the pharmaceutical industry. With the successful audit of the operational and management processes related to the international transport of pharmaceutical goods by sea and air, customs clearance and transit storage, Leschaco India has now been confirmed that the services offered are of the highest standard. The audit was conducted by an independent global leader in the areas of inspection, testing, verification and certification at the Mumbai and Chennai sites.

Thanks to the experience and competence of the local staff and their efforts to exceed customer expectations, Leschaco India is now able to provide GDP-compliant logistic services to pharmaceutical customers. Information about GDP: The GDP guidelines regulate the distribution of pharmaceuticals from the manufacturer to the patient and describe the minimum requirements that must be met to ensure that the quality and integrity of pharmaceuticals is guaranteed throughout the supply chain.
GDP compliance includes that:
• Pharmaceuticals are approved in the supply chain in accordance with European Union (EU) legislation.
• Pharmaceuticals must always be stored under the correct conditions, including during transport.
• Contamination by or from other products is avoided.
• There is enough trade in stored pharmaceuticals.
• The right products reach the right addressee within a given period.
