Climbing for a Cause: Leschaco Japan Joins the Tokyo Tower Climb 2025 for Mental Health Awareness

Leschaco CSR

On Saturday, May 24, 2025, six dedicated representatives from Leschaco Japan joined over 400 participants in the annual Tokyo Tower Climb, a powerful event held at the iconic Tokyo Tower. Organized by TELL Japan, this unique initiative brought together individuals from diverse backgrounds to support a vital cause: raising awareness for mental health and suicide prevention in Japan.

Participants were challenged to ascend 600 steps to reach the Main Deck at 150 meters—a symbolic and physical journey toward supporting those facing mental health challenges. Despite the steep climb, most participants reached the top in just 4 to 10 minutes, demonstrating not only physical strength but also a deep commitment to the cause.

The atmosphere throughout the event was electric—with a sense of unity, energy, and shared purpose reverberating through each stairwell. More than just a physical challenge, the Tokyo Tower Climb stood as a powerful symbol of support, empathy, and collective hope.

“It was horrible but rewarding,” shared one participant with a smile. Challenging ourselves physically for such an important cause made every step absolutely worth it.

The event’s goal was not only to challenge participants physically, but also to raise critical funds for TELL’s Lifeline—a 24/7 mental health support service that provides life-saving assistance to individuals in crisis.

In a society where mental health is often a sensitive and stigmatized topic, the Tokyo Tower Climb plays a key role in breaking the silence, promoting open conversations, and reinforcing the message that no one should suffer in silence.

At Leschaco, employee well-being and social responsibility are core values. The company proudly encouraged its team to take part in this meaningful event, further demonstrating its ongoing commitment to community involvement and global responsibility. Through this participation, Leschaco also actively supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals:

  • Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being – by promoting mental wellness and access to essential resources.

  • Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth – by fostering a workplace culture that values health, motivation, and community engagement.

Thank you to all the Leschaco participants for their incredible effort, enthusiasm, and compassion. Your involvement not only helped raise awareness but also strengthened the community and inspired action across our networks.

We look forward to the next climb in 2026 — and hope to see even more colleagues, partners, and friends rising to the challenge with us!
