Let's Turn Our Waste into Resources

Leschaco CSR

At Leschaco Mexicana, we're thrilled to launch a new project focused on environmental sustainability: Let's Make Compost!

To kick off the project, we held an awareness talk led by our talented intern, Paula, an environmental expert.

Many of our colleagues in Mexico attended, showing their enthusiasm to learn how to turn our food waste into a valuable resource for the planet.

With the implementation of this project, the organic waste we generate in the office will be collected and delivered to a specialized company for composting. This process not only reduces the amount of trash that ends up in landfills but also helps us decrease the emission of contaminating gases like methane.

How employees participate?

They will now find special containers on each floor for depositing your food waste.

Please check the attached flyer to identify which types of waste are suitable for composting (like fruit scraps, vegetables, coffee, and eggshells) and which are not (like dairy, meat, and plastics).

Every small action counts. It's estimated that each 19-liter bucket of organic waste that goes to compost prevents the emission of approximately 3 kg of CO₂. Your grain of sand truly turns into fertilizer for the future!
