Leschaco Peru Reaffirms Social Commitment: Awareness Day Against Food Waste

Leschaco CSR

As part of its sustainability and social responsibility strategy, the Leschaco Peru team held an inspiring awareness session regarding the impact of food waste , reaffirming its alliance with Banco de Alimentos Perú (BAP).

During the session, employees learned about the critical mission to alleviate hunger through food rescue. The BAP has worked for 11 years as a pioneer in Peru, rescuing more than 58,000 tons of food and serving more than 1.2 million people nationwide.

Feeding Today for a Better Future

The talk highlighted how the company and its staff can act as agents of change through specific lines of action:

  • Food Rescue Program: Recovering products with no commercial value that are still fit for human consumption.

  • High-Impact Projects: Initiatives such as "Nutriendo Corazones" and "Alimentando con Esperanza" that aim to break the cycles of poverty and food insecurity.

  • Alimentatón 2025: An invitation to join forces for the upcoming national collection effort.

A Unified Team Effort

The highlight of the event was the enthusiasm and dedication shown by the entire local team. We extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone in the Peru office for their active participation and sensitivity toward this global challenge.

Their commitment proves that at Leschaco, we don't just move cargo; we move hearts to create a positive impact in our community.

"Your commitment can make a significant difference in the lives of thousands of people."

Moving forward, Leschaco Peru is preparing for its next goal: an internal collection of non-perishable foods including legumes, rice, oil, and canned proteins ensuring that all donated products are sealed and have at least three months of shelf life.
