On Sunday, September 1, 2024, Yeouido Hangang Park in Seoul transformed into a vibrant hub of solidarity Smile Run Festival 2024 and hope as the Smile Run Festival took place. This annual marathon event, dedicated to raising awareness about oral cancer and facial deformities, and providing essential financial support for affected patients, saw an impressive turnout of approximately 4,500 participants.
The Smile Run Festival is more than just a marathon; it’s a beacon of hope for individuals facing severe medical challenges. The funds raised through participation fees and donations directly support surgeries and treatments for patients who may otherwise struggle to afford the necessary care. The event underscores the critical importance of early detection and treatment, and offers a meaningful way for the community to rally together in support of those in need.
Among the participants were four dedicated employees from Leschaco Korea: Do-Gyun Kim; Managing Director, Tae-Gu Park; Director, Ja-Yeon Kim; Seoul Field Sales and TLM Assistant Manager, and Won-Sik Hwang; Sales Manager. These remarkable individuals took part in the 10km marathon, embodying not only their commitment to the foundation’s cause but also to promoting their own health and well-being.
Their involvement aligns with Leschaco Korea’s dedication to social responsibility, reflecting our support for the UN’s Good Health and Well-Being goals and our internal pillar of Our Family.
The participation of our colleagues not only advanced the Smile Foundation’s efforts but also highlighted the importance of personal health and community involvement.
Thanks to all who ran and supported this meaningful cause. Your commitment demonstrates how our collective actions can drive significant change and foster a healthier, more connected world. Let's continue to champion both our personal well-being and our shared responsibilities to make a positive impact.
