SO is a remarkable organization that leads the world's largest movement for individuals with mental and multiple disabilities. The primary goal of SO is to empower people with intellectual disabilities through sports, providing them with increased recognition, self-confidence, and enhanced participation in society.

Under Leschaco's CSR pillar, "Our Family, Our Employees," the company proudly serves as a global partner of Special Olympics. Leschaco recognizes the importance of promoting inclusion and a healthy lifestyle for its employees around the world. As part of this commitment, Leschaco actively supports athletes participating in the SO World Games, including the World Games in Berlin, in June 2023.

Leschaco's involvement with Special Olympics extends beyond this year's World Games. In Mexico, the company has been a consistent supporter of Special Olympics for over four consecutive years. In 2019, Leschaco provided support to Yaroslavi Romero, who represented Mexico at the World Games in Abu Dhabi.

In 2023, Pablo Ulises Lázaro Escalona and María de Lourdes Amezcua Domínguez from Mexico were among the inspiring athletes supported by Leschaco to compete in Berlin. Pablo, a proud Special Olympics Mexico athlete with Intellectual Disability, Asperger's Syndrome, and Autism, has been involved since 2007, showcasing the positive impact of sports on personal growth. María, diagnosed with mental retardation, excelled in swimming after joining Special Olympics in 1977, experiencing transformative personal growth. She won a gold medal in the 25-meter freestyle event, enhancing language skills, social relations, and confidence through sports.

Leschaco's commitment to inclusion extends beyond financial support. Volunteer employees from Bremen and Hamburg warmly welcomed the SO USA delegation, offering assistance and support to ensure they were prepared for the prestigious event in Berlin.

As we celebrate Inclusion and Diversity, this event showcased the active participation of individuals with intellectual disabilities in 26 different sports. Leschaco proudly participated in this inclusive sporting event by donating and sponsoring athletes who competed in Berlin.
