On April 4, the team of Leschaco Malaysia proved that great teams are not just built—they are intentionally nurtured through shared values and community action.
As part of a strategic team building programme held at the Swiss Garden Hotel Melaka, 28 of our colleagues took the commitment to the next level by integrating a powerful Corporate Social Responsibility initiative into the agenda.
Strengthening Bonds Beyond the Office
The day focused on more than just internal collaboration; it was about creating a positive employee experience and fostering genuine connections. By stepping outside the traditional workspace, the team was able to align energy and openness toward a common goal.
Action at Jonker Street
To make a tangible impact, the team headed to Jonker Street, one of the most iconic tourist landmarks in Malaysia. The mission was a rubbish collection activity designed to raise public awareness about environmental hygiene.
The highlights of the initiative included:
Active Participation: 28 team members divided into four specialized groups
Complete Equipment: Everyone was equipped with gloves, clips, and plastic bags to ensure a professional and hygienic cleanup.
Brand Pride: Participants wore customized Leschaco T-shirts and caps, reinforcing the identity of the company as a responsible corporate citizen.
Strategic Success: High Impact, Zero Cost
This initiative stands as a prime example of operational excellence. By utilizing the HRD Corp levy contribution, Leschaco was able to fund this entire programme at zero additional cost to the company.
It is a win-win situation: investing in the people and the environment while maintaining fiscal responsibility.
