Every year, as the holiday season approaches, many people around the world find themselves reflecting on the true meaning of Christmas: sharing, kindness, and spreading joy to others. One of the most heartwarming ways to celebrate this festive time is by donating gifts and organizing fun activities for children. These acts not only brighten the holiday for young ones but also help foster a sense of community and goodwill.
Recently, Leschaco Malaysia took part in spreading holiday cheer with an event titled Shine Bright for Kids this Christmas on Saturday, December 28th, for the children under the care of the Good Samaritan Home, a children’s shelter for those abandoned by their parents. The home cares for children ranging from 1 to 20 years old, currently providing shelter for 40 children.
The objective of this activity was to demonstrate corporate social responsibility, offering a special year-end time to bring joy and fun through games and a meal together at McDonald's.
In addition to the fun, our colleagues also shared their experiences and knowledges about the mode of transport, helping to spark interest and inspire future career paths for the children.
Twelve representatives participated in the celebration, and we were able to donate numerous gifts. In addition, we received donations from colleagues, including clothes, bags, books, and toys, bringing the total number of gifts and donations to over 500 items.
Furthermore, we provided essential goods and consumables to the Good Samaritan Home, to be used internally and for meal preparation, helping to improve the well-being and quality of life for the children in their care.
